Urban Sanctuary Urban Sanctuary- Living in the Outdoors…Indoors. By Sherry & Jessica Piersol of Capacity Inc. Sherry’s second passion is decorating;
her first is the advancement of women. Sherry and her daughter, Jessica are working with various decorators to become part of this fundraiser in order to experience it firsthand. They plan to serve as mentors for women who are
unemployed and interested in the decorating and design business.
Their goal is to implement this fundraiser (loft showcases) throughout
the world with proceeds going toward career advancement for women
in the showcase communities. Imagine an elegant veranda indoors, this is your urban sanctuary.
The text below was written in the blog before, but in case you are lost…
Capacity Inc. held an Eco-friendly designer showcase in the Lorillard Lofts. We wanted to hold a fund raising event that was fun, inventive and exciting. We were successful, in the fact that we raised around $1,000.00 for our organization and created amazing social links and networking opportunities. We hope to have other green designer showcases in future places such as Louisville and Chicago.
Capacity Inc. is a new non-profit that focuses on the advancement of women and children all around the world. We want to make a difference locally and therefore, supported local designers, vendors and specialized services during Naturally Chic.
Future project include creative job solutions for unemployed women of ‘The Bluegrass.’ We also are working with Central Baptist to employ women and are seeking other employers and educators to lift up women in the Bluegrass.
Look for the final designs in my next blog!
Thank you so much to Jennifer Creed Photographer for your skills and support with our cause! You make the world a better place, with every snap of your camera.

Eclectic Bachelor’s Retreat – an unbelievably cool space. By Boo Blakley
She offers fabulous decorating through re-use and re-do techniques.
Blakeley’s loft will arrange previously loved furnishings and décor with
warm, masculine and quirky decorative elements conducive to a fun,
casual urban lifestyle. Capacity Inc. has found no one as familiar with
eco-friendly as Blakey.
