This is my spot to write, post my crazy jesspee cartoons and events about Capacity Inc. Obtaining my degree in anthropology, working for a university and a non-profit takes a lot of my time. I still love the internet, so this is my little space. Nice to meet you.

Consumer Awareness started three years ago with this report.  Have you heard of it?  Did you know that the country with the most ‘forced-child labor’ was China, the country we buy most of our goods from?
Forced-child labor is one of the many forms of human-trafficking.  Children under the age of 15 are forced to work most often under harsh conditions.  This report was printed by The United States Department of Labor and The International Beareau of International Affairs.  Read for yourself here and bring awareness to the power you have as the consumer.

Playing Devil’s advocate: Did you know iPhones where made in China?  We need to know where, why, and by who.  Don’t you think?  How did your 2-300 dollars get all the way back to China into the pocket of the worker?  I have an iPod and want to know where it came from too.  My shirt says ‘made in China,’ My shoes, “made in India’ These places are on the list and the report is not meant to be detrimental to world trade or a punishment to these countries.  It is intended to bring awareness and fix the issues.  Let’s work to do our part.  Let me know what you think?
